Nowadays Hazard Identification and Assessment of Risk & Opportunities (HIARO) has become fundamental to the practice of planning, management and the operation of a business as a basic of risk management.
The risk & Opportunities assessment process should be continuous and should not be regarded as a one-off exercise. This training will provide a systematic and objective approach to assessing hazards and their associated risks that will provide an objective measure of an identified hazard as well as provide a method to control the risk. It is one of the general duties as prescribed under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) for the employer to provide a safe workplace to their employees.
At the end of the training, participants will be able to know:
- The principles and practices of HIARO
- Hazard identification method and risk evaluation
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for those who are tasked with the development and implementation of hazard identification, risk assessment and determine control for the organization, internal auditors, Safety & Health Practitioners as well as Green Card Holders.
